Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal held a meeting in Kyiv with Slovenia’s Minister of Defence Borut Sajovic.

The Minister of Defence reported this on social media.

The head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence thanked Slovenia for its support across all crucial areas, including participation in the PURL initiative.

“This is truly an important initiative to strengthen our capabilities, primarily in the field of air defence. We highly appreciate that Slovenia plans to allocate about 43 million euros to this mechanism by the end of the year. I also highlighted the importance of the Security Cooperation Agreement and the long-term support between our countries”, — Denys Shmyhal stated.

The delegations focused on ways to develop cooperation. In particular, they discussed opportunities for joint industrial projects within the European initiatives EDIP and SAFE, as well as within the framework of the “Danish model”.
