Military expert, Colonel Petro Chernyk, stated this on Army FM.
“America is currently the world’s leading producer of shale oil, and if this does not harm them, they will be able to establish — even at a critical moment— conditional oil supplies by tankers to Europe, because liquefied gas has in fact been supplied for several years already. But here is a downside for us: we remember that the entire Russian economy rests on its backbone — hydrocarbons.
So they will indeed benefit for some time, but not strategically or critically. The Druzhba oil pipeline is halted as such. And the Europeans, again, will readjust their supplies, possibly from America, and Norwegians will certainly begin producing some share of the oil”, — he said.
According to him, this will give Russia more currency, which it uses to purchase microelectronics, including for missiles. A single “Kinzhal” contains 130 Western components.
“The truth is that this is also a very ambiguous issue, because 80% of the entire flow of microelectronics — including black-market technologies—went through Iran, and that channel is now definitely closed as of this moment. Will the Russians manage to rebuild their supply chains? They will, but it will take several months. Several months — and everything has already become an order of magnitude more expensive for them since 2022, and this will increase prices even more”, — the military expert said.
In Petro Chernyk’s opinion, it is very good that the US and Israel struck the key link in the ‘axis of evil’ triangle — China–Iran–Russia.
He added that the Americans also realized they need to demonstrate their strength to China, which is seriously considering the seizure of Taiwan.
