Officers of the Department of Computer Science and Intelligent Technologies of VITI demonstrated an outstanding result at the NATO TIDE Hackathon 2026.
This was reported on March 2 by the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies named after the Heroes of Kruty (VITI).
The hackathon took place in Reykjavík (Iceland) under the auspices of NATO Allied Command Transformation.
Thirty-three teams from 15 NATO countries and partners participated in the competition. Over five days of intensive work, participants created AI solutions for real operational challenges of the Alliance.
The VITI team, representing the Ukrainian Armed Forces, won first place in the most difficult challenge — Automated Intelligence Fusion and Analysis Informed Targeting.

The developed prototype has the potential to become the basis for Next Generation Targeting, one of ACT’s key projects aimed at achieving the Alliance’s technological advantage.
