Ukraine and Belgium Agree on Delivery of Three F-16s by End of 2026
Ukraine and Belgium have agreed on the delivery of three F-16 fighter jets by the end of 2026.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this.
According to the President, Ukraine will receive the aircraft through an accelerated procedure.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine has already received urgent supplies of F-16 ammunition from Belgium and other partners, including Spain.
A delegation from the Ukrainian Air Force, led by Commander Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko, met with representatives of Lockheed Martin.
“When Russia escalates its attacks every day, we need to increase our capabilities to shoot down aerial targets and protect people,” the President of Ukraine stressed.
He thanked Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever and the country’s government for supporting Ukraine in response to Russian attacks.
