Ukraine Expects Accelerated Delivery of F-16 Ammunition and Air Defence Missiles
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a coordination meeting with military officials, government representatives and heads of services responsible for infrastructure protection.
The President reported this on social media.
Several key tasks were set following the meeting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence and the team at the Office of the President will conduct an immediate review of agreements with international partners on supplying Ukrainian F-16s with the necessary ammunition. They will also separately review the delivery of air defence missiles, country by country, agreement by agreement and aid package by aid package.
“An updated schedule for their delivery to Ukraine must be prepared by tomorrow,” the President stressed.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stressed the need to receive additional missiles as early as October. According to him, some agreements reached with the leaders of partner countries have still not been implemented by the relevant teams.
The President highlighted Germany, Norway, Finland and other partners that are ready to accelerate the implementation of the agreements.
The implementation of resilience plans in regions and key cities will also be monitored every week. Some communities are falling behind, so military commanders and government officials are to prepare additional measures to improve the security of the work being carried out.
The response system to Russian attacks on Kyiv’s critical infrastructure has also been adjusted. The necessary redistribution of resources for protective measures has been identified.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he expects reports from the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the implementation of the steps agreed at the meeting.
