Presidents of Ukraine and France Discuss Winter Support Package and Strengthening Air Defence
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of France Emmanuel Macron in New York.
The website of the head of state reported this.
The two leaders discussed security and a winter support package for Ukraine. There is a readiness to provide additional SAMP/T air defence systems and missiles for them, drawing on the financing available under the EU loan.
“We are continuing work on the possibility of producing such air defence systems and missiles for them in Ukraine, as well as on the FREYJA anti-ballistic programme with our partners. We expect the first results this year,” the head of state stressed.
Ukraine and France are doing everything they can to strengthen the protection of people.
As ArmyInform reported earlier, during his visit to New York President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with a bipartisan delegation of US senators.
The meeting discussed Ukraine’s need for interceptors against Russian ballistic missiles and the challenges the country may face ahead of the winter.
