Russia Is Losing Billions to Ukraine’s Deep and Middle Strikes — Ministry of Defence Sums Up the Latest Attacks
In the past week alone, Ukrainian troops have delivered devastating strikes on dozens of enemy targets. This is Ukraine's response to Russian shelling.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported this on 19 September.
The result of these successful Ukrainian strikes is hundreds of missiles, drones, vehicles and mercenaries that the enemy army will never receive.
Among the targets, Ukraine’s Defence Forces hit the Slavneft-YANOS refinery in Yaroslavl region, 1,000 kilometres from the border. It is one of Russia’s five largest refineries and, until Ukrainian deep strikes arrived, was a key fuel supplier for Russia’s western troop grouping.
Ukrainian forces also hit storage tanks and process units at two major producers of aviation kerosene and petrol: the Slavyansky refinery and TANECO.
The Syzran refinery in Samara region also came under attack. A hit followed by a fire was recorded there: the primary crude oil processing unit and the tank farm were struck. The plant is involved in supplying the needs of Russia’s armed forces.
At the Rostov-on-Don (Central) military airfield, three transport aircraft — An-12s and An-26s — and three helicopters were hit, with the detonation of ammunition on board.
“We are systematically and consistently destroying the material base that feeds Russian aggression. Significant losses in funding for the enemy’s war machine will force the Kremlin to sit down at the negotiating table on fair terms,” the Ministry of Defence said.
As ArmyInform reported earlier, on the night of 13 September Special Operations Forces Deep Strike units, together with the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Defence Intelligence, struck the TANECO refining complex in Nizhnekamsk, in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan.
