Today, September 6, Druzhkivka celebrates its City Day. The town in Donetsk region is now at the epicenter of the fighting.

The video was published on the YouTube channel of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade.

Soldiers of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar”, together with other Defence Forces units, are holding the defence of Druzhkivka and slowing the russian advance.

As the brigade noted, although the line of contact is more than 10 km from the outskirts of the city, russian forces continue to strike it with guided aerial bombs, artillery and drones.

The 93rd Brigade emphasized Druzhkivka’s strategic importance.

The city is part of the Sloviansk—Kramatorsk urban agglomeration and is one of the key directions on the way to Kramatorsk, making its defence critical to holding Donetsk region.

The brigade also recalled that in peacetime, Druzhkivka served as a reliable rear area during the defence of Bakhmut, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar and Kostiantynivka.

“Happy Druzhkivka Day to everyone for whom it remains a symbol of home!” the 93rd Brigade said in its greeting.
