Strike UAVs hit the antenna and equipment station of a russian Kasta radar system in the Zaporizhzhia region.

On September 3, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

Based on the results of objective monitoring, it was confirmed that strike UAVs hit the radar antenna and equipment station of the radar vehicle of the Kasta radar system on September 1, 2026, near Vyshneve in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The Kasta-2E2 (39N6) is a russian-made mobile three-coordinate radar designed to detect and track aerial targets at low and extremely low altitudes, determine their coordinates, and transmit data to the enemy’s air defense command posts.

It detects aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and UAVs, including those flying at low altitudes.

Its detection range is 5–150 km, with an altitude range of up to 6 km. The detection range for a small UAV flying at an altitude of 60 m is 30–44 km, depending on the height of the antenna mast, which can be raised to 50 m.

The estimated cost of the station, depending on its configuration, is from $60 million.

As reported by ArmyInform, the Defense Forces struck a BK-16 landing craft, a UAV control center, and other enemy targets.
