Ukraine has also received confirmations regarding new air defence systems and missiles.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a meeting with media representatives held together with President of Estonia Alar Karis.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the United Kingdom has confirmed the production of long-range SCALP missiles for Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron had earlier confirmed that the SCALPs and the corresponding licence had been unblocked.

“We will act on it. I consider this a strong positive and a strong decision,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President also spoke about work on the FREYJA project. He said Ukraine should receive a work schedule for this project within 7 to 10 days, setting out where problems are arising, which companies and countries they involve, and what needs to be done to resolve them.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reported that Norway has confirmed USD 9 billion in funding for 2027. Norway could also help Ukraine finance the establishment of the FREYJA office, he said.

Ukraine has additionally received confirmations regarding several Crotale air defence systems and missiles for them. This also concerns AIM missiles, which Ukraine uses to destroy Russian missiles, and additional missiles for Patriot systems.

“We thank our partners for all this support,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
