Volodymyr Zelenskyy has discussed Russian strikes on Ukraine and their consequences for food security with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media.

The President briefed the UN Secretary-General on Russian attacks and civilian casualties. According to Zelenskyy, António Guterres condemned Russia’s massive strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities and communities.

The two also discussed Russian attacks on port infrastructure and vessels.

“In many countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia this is already being felt, and prices have begun to rise,” the President said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that, despite Russia’s unwillingness to agree to negotiations, the search for ways to end the war must continue.

The two sides agreed to continue this work with the involvement of the United Nations.
