Speaking to journalists, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that anti-war sentiment inside Russian society is growing.

The President said this while speaking to journalists.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, more than 60% of Russian society is in favour of ending the war and a ceasefire.

“We are recording the social impact of our operations in Russia. Many people in Russia want the war to end. The way they put it is: they just want it to be over,” the President said.

The President said that support for the Russian authorities is declining, citing the situation around the Yabloko party as an example of the Kremlin’s fears about growing support for political alternatives.

“They removed Yabloko from the elections because they had expected Yabloko to poll 3% or 4% at most, and then they looked at public sentiment and saw 11–12% straight away, with an upward trend,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
