Zelenskyy has held a meeting with the military, the Ministry of Defence and the teams of the Security Service, Defence Intelligence and the President's Office.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his social media accounts on Wednesday, 5 August.

First: a report by Mykhailo Drapatyi, Ihor Skybiuk and Yevhenii Khmara on the situation at the front and key supply requirements. The greatest attention was devoted to Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the strength and capabilities of the units deployed in that sector, and on the key objectives and tasks being carried out. Yevhenii Khmara set out the requirements for drone supplies and funding that must be met without delay.

The meeting also determined the sequence of additional steps to protect infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

“This year, unfortunately, deliveries of anti-ballistic capabilities from our partners have fallen considerably. The number of air defence missiles being supplied has dropped threefold compared with 2025. And this concerns not only the summer period, but every part of the first half of 2026. Our partners do have the missiles. What matters is that the necessary political decisions on supplies and on speeding up production processes, including localisation in Ukraine, are taken as well. That is something that can meaningfully support not only our country, but the global protection of life,” the head of state said.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi also delivered a report. Together with representatives of Ukrainian business, the Prime Minister will propose measures to support entrepreneurial and logistical activity in Ukraine.

“We held a detailed discussion with the military, intelligence and special services on our priorities for August regarding long-range sanctions against Russia for this war. Operations against Russian oil facilities and refining capacity are ongoing.

The price of dragging out the war will keep rising for the aggressor. It is important that our partners’ sanctions against Russia reinforce our long-range impact. We will be discussing this with key states. There are things worth implementing additionally in sanctions policy. My thanks to everyone who is helping!” the President wrote.

As ArmyInform reported earlier, 17 civilians were killed and a further 44 people injured in Russia’s massive strike on Kyiv and the surrounding region.
