Against the backdrop of massive losses, Russian occupation forces have intensified the recruitment of Botswana citizens into their ranks.

This was reported by the international news agency Bloomberg, citing a relevant statement released on Saturday, July 18, by the Ministry of International Affairs of this African country.

In particular, the ministry urges citizens to decline job offers in the Russian Federation without thorough verification of the proposed vacancies.

In its statement, the department warns that it is regularly receiving “terrible calls” from its citizens who have already fallen into this trap and are currently at the front lines in extremely difficult conditions.

“The number of Botswana residents who are being misled through such arrangements is growing at an alarming rate,” the diplomatic department warned.

Kenya and South Africa have faced a similar problem, with several individuals involved in recruiting citizens to participate in the war on the side of the Russian Federation having been detained there.

In total, according to the nonprofit organization Inpact, which manages the “All Eyes On Wagner” program, more than 300 African mercenaries have already been killed in Ukraine.

As ArmyInform reported earlier, soldiers of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade liquidated a 61-year-old Peruvian mercenary with Russian language cheat sheets.
