Ukraine and Italy discuss the creation of a European Anti-Ballistic Coalition
In Ankara, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni.
This was reported by the Office of the President on July 8.
The Head of State thanked Italy for its support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people throughout Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The leaders discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense with additional missiles for air defense systems, as well as the creation of a European Anti-Ballistic Coalition.
The President emphasized that indigenous anti-ballistic capabilities are needed across Europe and that work on developing them must proceed as actively as possible.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Giorgia Meloni also discussed progress on the Drone Deal between Ukraine and Italy.
