Eighteen-year-old Diana, whose call sign is “Mala” consciously chose to dedicate her life to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by joining under the 18–24 program.

The announcement was made by the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the 19th Army Corps.

The military says Diana’s call sign perfectly matches her appearance. Short, slender, and always smiling, she looks like an ordinary young woman. Yet behind that appearance lies a strong character, determination, and a sincere desire to serve her country.

Diana has already completed Basic General Military Training. Together with other recruits, she mastered military skills, learned to work as part of a team, and overcame both physical and psychological challenges.

According to the Strategic Communications Directorate, she stands out for her confidence, determination, and willingness to constantly learn.

She represents a generation of Ukrainians that has come of age during a full-scale war and refuses to shift responsibility for the country’s future onto others.

New challenges, experience, and achievements lie ahead for Diana. At the same time, her story already serves as a reminder that true strength is measured not by age or physical stature, but by inner resilience and a willingness to take responsibility.

The Strategic Communications Directorate emphasized that it is precisely her character that distinguishes “Mala” among her brothers- and sisters-in-arms.
