Finland has decided to provide its 33rd military aid package to Ukraine, according to an official statement by the Ministry of Defence of Finland.
The value of the equipment being sent this time is approximately €128 million.
This package includes both transfers from the stocks of the Finnish Defense Forces and weaponry purchased directly from the Finnish defense industry.
“Ukraine continues to need the support of its Western allies in its struggle. Russia is already in the fifth consecutive year of its criminal war of aggression. Finland is committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary. This also strengthens Finland’s defense industrial base,” stated Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen.
With this latest iteration, Finland has delivered a total of €3.4 billion in defense equipment to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Ukrainian service members are demonstrating resilience and innovation in their fight against the Russian army, sharing their experience with Western partners.
Before the full-scale invasion, the Russian army was evaluated primarily by numbers: personnel, tanks, artillery, aviation, and ammunition stocks.
Sweden and Ukraine have agreed on a large-scale defense agreement that includes the purchase of Swedish Gripen fighter jets by Ukraine.
