“They are trying to find some burrows and accumulate there”: near Chasiv Yar, the occupiers have intensified assaults
On the Kramatorsk axis, in the area of Chasiv Yar, the Russians have stepped up assault operations due to favorable weather conditions.
This was reported during an Army TV livestream by the spokesperson of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, Kostiantyn Melnykov.
“ The 24th Brigade holds positions in the city of Chasiv Yar and on its outskirts, preventing the occupiers from advancing toward Kostiantynivka from the northern and northeastern flanks.
At the moment, this containment is quite successful — in our area of responsibility, the soldiers remain in their positions”, — he said.
Currently, the occupiers are trying to intensify assault operations, using the weather conditions.
“Most likely, they are simply trying to make maximum use of the weather.
In the Donetsk region, it’s hard to say that spring has arrived, because this morning there was wet snow, and they are trying to use the weather to the fullest to move around”, — the soldier explained.
The Russians’ tactics remain unchanged — they storm with small infantry groups or even single infantrymen.
“If we talk about Russian tactics, it remains the same — these are non-mass assaults of 1–2 people.
They try to find certain burrows, accumulate there, and move further.
Usually, all this movement is detected by our aerial reconnaissance, the drone operators work on them, so the enemy is stopped somewhere on the approaches or during the movement itself”, — he said.
