The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported on the achievements of the Ukrainian military in the Oleksandrivka di

He wrote this on February 23 during his work in the combat task areas in the Southern operational zone.

“During another working trip, I visited units that are advancing and those holding the defense in one of the key sectors of the front”, — the Commander-in-Chief wrote.

He held a meeting with commanders to discuss the status of combat missions, problems, and proposals for solving them.

“We identified priority steps to strengthen defense and support our units. Logistics, evacuation of the wounded, uninterrupted delivery of ammunition, and technical support are essential elements of our resilience”, — Syrskyi noted.

According to him, the situation in this sector is difficult. The enemy continues to exert pressure, actively uses small assault groups for infiltration, employs artillery, drones, and sometimes armored vehicles.

“But our troops are not only holding the defense — they are successfully conducting offensive operations.

Since late January, the Air Assault Forces group and adjacent units have regained control over 400 square kilometers of territory and eight settlements in the Oleksandrivka direction.

I had the honor to personally award the servicemen of the 82nd and 95th Air Assault Brigades for their courage, endurance, and professionalism in battle.

I thanked everyone who holds the line every day. I also spoke separately with our soldiers. Their confidence, calmness, and combat spirit are unbreakable”, — Syrskyi wrote.

He noted that the plan of the Ukrainian military remains unchanged: effective execution of assigned tasks with maximum preservation of the lives and health of Ukrainian defenders, strengthening defense capabilities, and increasing capacity in every sector of the front.
