“Every fifth candidate in recruitment centers is a woman”: how the recruitment system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine functions
Today, 10% of all newly enlisted personnel join the army through recruitment centers. Over the current year, this figure is planned to be increased to at least
This was reported on Suspilne by Mykhailo Bannov, head of the coordination department of recruitment centers at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to Bannov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine operate six recruitment centers: in the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Naval Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, and Special Operations Forces.
The recruitment system is also available in civilian life.
“One can study the details through the Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army operating at Administrative Service Centers, or the Drone Line in the Diia app; view vacancies in ‘Reserve+’, use the vacancy aggregator of ArmyInform and on civilian job-search websites”, — Mykhailo said.
He added that today the recruitment system allows candidates to independently choose a unit and position according to their skills and abilities for military service. The “Contract 18–24” program is also very effective.
“Statistics show that every fifth candidate entering the army through a recruitment center is a woman”, — he summarized.
