Fighters of the Lasar’s Group Special Purpose Detachment of the National Guard struck 14 infantry fighting vehicles that the enemy had hidden deep behind the front line and was preparing for use in assault operations.

The video of the strike was published by the Lasar’s Group Detachment of the National Guard on January 22.

The special operation was carried out within the area of responsibility of the Third Army Corps. Targets were detected by Lasar’s Group aerial reconnaissance crews, after which heavy bombers opened fire on the concentration. As a result, one IFV was destroyed and 13 more were damaged.

The enemy had recently relocated the damaged equipment to a new deployment area and had begun digging caponiers to later equip closed garages. However, Ukrainian forces struck before the engineering work was completed.

The enemy likely planned to use this equipment to reinforce attacks in the Lyman direction.
