“I thought I’d be standing at checkpoints”: the story of a traitor who went over to the Russian occupiers
A resident of temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast believed propaganda, took up enemy weapons, and went against his own people. The result — captivity after another failed assault.
This is reported in a video published on the page of the 4th Rapid Response Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhii Mykhalchuk “Rubizh”.
“They told us that Donbas feeds all of Ukraine, so we supported the referendum, but it turned out completely differently. We received Russian passports voluntarily–forcibly”, — the captured traitor says.
While imprisoned in a detention facility in temporarily occupied Makiivka, he was offered to sign a contract.
“I was sitting in a camp in Makiivka, they offered me to sign a contract. They said you’d be standing at checkpoints, escorting humanitarian convoys — and that’s how I ended up here”, — the prisoner added.
“This story is a direct answer to everyone who says they don’t care whose will it is or that this is a war of politicians. If you don’t resist the occupier, he will come to your home and force you to advance against your own brothers”, — the brigade concluded.
