The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a greeting on the occasion of Ukraine’s Unity Day.
The text of the greeting was released on the morning of January 22.
“Today marks 107 years since the proclamation of the Act of Unification — the day when Ukrainians, divided by borders, united for the sake of a free, independent, and united Ukraine.
This event became a testament to the unity and responsibility of Ukrainians for their own state. For more than a century, it has inspired Ukrainians to fight for freedom and to defend the right to an independent path.
On this day in 1990, Ukrainians formed a ‘human chain,’ confirming their shared aspiration for independence.
With the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression, it was this spirit of unity that motivated volunteers to rise in defense of Ukraine.
Today, Ukrainians once again prove their readiness to fight for freedom, sovereignty, and the future of their own state.
Warriors — from different corners of Ukraine, but united by courage and faith in our country — stand shoulder to shoulder defending their native land.
Their example daily confirms that unity remains our greatest strength.
Honor and glory to the defenders of Ukraine. Happy Unity Day! Glory to Ukraine!” — the Ministry of Defense stated.
