In Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces are containing the enemy, who is attempting to infiltrate the northern part of the city above the railway line in small groups and establish a foothold there.
This was reported by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
Since early December, as a result of active assault operations, Russia’s operational reserve — units of the 76th Pskov Air Assault Division — has already suffered significant losses.
This forces the enemy to reinforce the axis with additional units to maintain offensive potential. According to available information, Russia plans to replenish losses in the Pokrovsk direction in several stages by the end of January.
“Overall, last week Ukrainian forces eliminated and wounded 370 occupiers. Our troops also destroyed and damaged 86 units of automotive and motorcycle equipment, 20 guns and self-propelled artillery systems, and destroyed or forced down nearly 1,400 attack UAVs”, — the Corps reported.
Due to effective counteractions, the enemy has failed to accumulate sufficient forces in the industrial zone in the city’s northwestern area.
As a result, the enemy is unable to conduct open frontal assaults on Hryshyne, which is currently one of the priority targets in the Pokrovsk agglomeration.
Instead, the adversary continues to operate in small infantry groups, attempting to move through forest belts and approach Hryshyne from the south.
In Myrnohrad, the Defense Forces are containing the enemy in the northern part of the city.
Over the past week, a buildup of enemy equipment has been recorded near Novohrodivka, south of Myrnohrad. The enemy plans to use these forces and assets to continue assault operations, including against the “upper” part of Myrnohrad. The Defense Forces are working to detect and destroy this equipment in a timely manner.
