Anastasiia, call sign “Asya”, is a UAV operator. She has been in the military since the age of 19 and has now signed her second contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Her story was shared by the 19th Army Corps.
“They say there are no girls at the front. That’s what those who have never been there say”, — said the servicwoman of the 94th Separate Anti-Tank Battalion.
Anastasiia’s first contract ended in 2024. She spent a month at home and signed a new contract in 2025.
“You spot the enemy and it’s a rush — you enjoy your work… The guys treat me like a combat sister. Girls shouldn’t be afraid — they should join”, — she said.
