Defense of the settlement of Zakitne continues in the Sloviansk sector. The enemy conducts constant assault actions toward the settlement but has no success. Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding their designated lines.
This was stated in a Telegram message by the Eastern Operational Group.
“Information about the enemy’s capture of Zakitne does not correspond to reality. We urge everyone to verify sources and trust official reports. Do not give enemy propaganda any chance to influence Ukrainian society”, — the statement emphasized.
The day before, Russian propagandists claimed the alleged capture of Zakitne and showed a video with yet another “flag-raising”. This is a typical tactic of the occupiers, who send infantry to die for such footage.
The statement notes that attempts at infantry assaults and infiltration by small groups are detected by Ukrainian intelligence, and fire strikes are delivered using missile and artillery units as well as strike UAV crews.
Enemy concentration areas, logistics routes, and positions of UAV crews remain under constant fire control by the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The occupiers are suffering significant losses.

On the Pokrovsk axis, Russian occupiers do not reduce pressure on Defense Forces positions and attempt to attack as soon as the fog sets in.
On the Kramatorsk axis, in the area of Chasiv Yar, the Russians have stepped up assault operations due to favorable weather conditions.
