“They’re flying here like flies in summer” — on the Pokrovsk Axis, the enemy is trying to break through a corridor to Hryshyne
The Pokrovsk axis remains the most difficult on the frontline. Over the past day, the enemy carried out 23 assault attempts here, attacking in the directions of the settlements of Nykanorivka, Hryshyne, Rodynske, and Myrnohrad. In this area, Russian forces lost about 50 soldiers killed and another 25 wounded.
This was reported on the air of the national telethon United News by Danylo Borysenko, Head of Intelligence of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion of the Rubizh Brigade.
According to him, the enemy is actively using armored vehicles, automotive equipment, quad bikes, and motorcycles — anything that allows them to reach the line of combat contact faster and break through Ukrainian battle formations. The enemy also has a large number of strike UAVs of the “Molniya” type and loitering munitions of the “Lancet” type.
“There are a lot of ‘Molniyas’ now — their use has increased significantly. They’re flying here literally like flies in summer. Accordingly, our air defense crews have a huge amount of work shooting these ‘Molniyas’ down”, — said the Head of Intelligence of the Rubizh Brigade’s anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion.
The enemy’s main objective on the Pokrovsk axis at present is to try to break through a corridor to Hryshyne. They are being stopped by FPV drone pilots, drop teams, heavy bombers, as well as artillery and mortar crews. Only if Russian troops manage to survive all these “encounters” do small-arms engagements take place, where the enemy is then destroyed in close combat.
“The main task now for any unit — not only on the Pokrovsk axis — is to increase the percentage of enemy destruction specifically through the use of unmanned technologies. Because if there is no direct contact with the enemy, our infantry is more protected, more survivable, and therefore more effective at the moment when it has to enter combat”, — Danylo Borysenko emphasized.
