In November 2025, during the battles for Stepnohirsk, a group of Russian airborne troops attempted to break through into the rear of Ukrainian forces, trying to cut key logistical routes to the city. To neutralize the threat, a group of foreign volunteers was promptly deployed to the area.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported details of the operation.
The mission was carried out by the assault company “Advanced Company” of Tactical Group “Revenge” of the DIU International Legion. The main objective was reconnaissance by fire: to force enemy airborne troops to reveal their firing positions for subsequent artillery strikes and final elimination.
