In the Huliaipole direction, Russian forces attempted to use difficult weather conditions to break into one of the settlements. Under the cover of dense fog, the enemy advanced with armored vehicles and dismounted about 20 assault troops.

This was reported in a publication on the page of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment.

After dismounting, the occupiers dispersed and attempted to take up positions in buildings. Fighters of the 3rd Assault Battalion of the 225th Regiment engaged in a small-arms battle for nearly 40 minutes against a numerically superior enemy, containing their advance and preventing them from gaining a foothold in the settlement.

Gradually, the enemy assault group was blocked inside buildings. Some of the occupiers were destroyed during the firefight, while the rest were held until weather conditions allowed the use of drones.

After the fog cleared, heavy bombers of the regiment and adjacent units joined the operation. The enemy group was ultimately eliminated by aerial drops.

The regiment noted that thanks to coordinated actions of infantry and aerial support, Ukrainian fighters suffered no injuries or losses.
