President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and discussed the protection of Ukraine and Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities.
This was reported by the Office of the President on January 5.
“The Prime Minister of Australia promised assistance. The President thanked him for this and emphasized that missiles for air defense are needed every day, just as support for Ukraine’s defense is needed every day”, — the statement reads.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed his counterpart about the diplomatic situation and next steps, including active engagement within the Coalition of the Willing, whose meeting will take place tomorrow in Paris. Australia will be represented there. The Head of State also thanked him for the kind words about Ukraine and Ukrainians.
