The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to pay allowances for direct provision of the educational process to the teaching staff of all military lyceums of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense reported this on December 30.
“This is stipulated in the resolution ‘On Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 31, 2016, No. 572,’ which the Government supported at today’s meeting”, — the MOD noted.
The decision provides for allowances of up to 50% of the base salary for teaching staff and up to 100% for military personnel holding positions listed in the relevant register.
Previously, such allowances were provided only to teachers of four military lyceums: the Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum, the Naval Lyceum in Odesa, the State Boarding Lyceum with Enhanced Military and Physical Training “Cadet Corps” named after I.H. Kharitonenko, and the State Boarding Gymnasium with Enhanced Military and Physical Training “Cadet Corps”.
The Ministry of Defense reported that the specific amount of the allowance is determined by the head of the institution within the wage fund.
“It is expected that the introduction of a unified approach to remuneration for employees and military personnel in all state institutions providing secondary military-profile education will contribute to additional motivation for attracting qualified teaching staff”, — the MOD noted.
