Reports by Russian Z-propaganda resources about the alleged full control of Russian troops over the city of Rodynske in Donetsk region do not correspond to reality and are an element of the enemy’s information and psychological operation.

This was reported by the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov”.

The Corps notes that such statements are intended to create the illusion of Russian advances and to sow panic among Ukrainian society.

To form a propaganda “picture”, Russian troops use a familiar tactic — attempting to infiltrate a settlement in small infantry groups in order to plant the aggressor state’s flag and film corresponding videos for social media.

Such groups are promptly destroyed by units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine; however, sometimes the enemy manages to record their presence on camera before being eliminated.

As of now, search-and-strike operations to destroy enemy assault groups are ongoing in Rodynske. Defensive battles for the city continue, and information from Russian sources about the establishment of full control does not reflect the real situation.

The 1st Corps of the NGU “Azov” calls on citizens to trust exclusively official reports of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and not to spread Russian disinformation.
