Small-arms battles and precision strikes: ‘Khartiia’ released exclusive footage of the liberation of Kupiansk
The 2nd National Guard Corps “Khartiia” has released a video of a successful assault operation against Russian occupiers in the Kupiansk area and surrounding villages, conducted by the search-and-strike grouping “Khartiia” and adjacent units.
This was reported by the press service of the “Khartiia” Corps.
The video shows small-arms battles in wooded areas and nearby villages, evacuation of the wounded, FPV drone strikes on enemy infantry and shelters, as well as urban combat in Kupiansk itself near the city hospital and the assault on buildings where occupiers were hiding.
Earlier it became known that in September of this year, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, created the search-and-strike grouping (SSG) “Khartiia”. It included units of the 13th Operational Brigade “Khartiia”, the 475th Assault Regiment “Code 9.2”, the 92nd Assault Brigade, the Foreign Legion of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the 144th Mechanized Brigade.
As a result, SSG “Khartiia” units liberated the villages of Kindrashivka and Radkivka and their surroundings, broke through to the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, completely cutting off ground routes used by the occupiers to enter the city and unblocking Defense Forces units on the eastern bank of the Oskil.
During the operation from September 22 to December 12, Ukrainian warriors destroyed 1,027 Russian servicemen, wounded 291 occupiers, and took 13 prisoners.
The clearing of Kupiansk continues. SSG “Khartiia” continues operations in the city center. Up to 100 occupiers remain there.
