President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with President of Finland Alexander Stubb, during which the sides exchanged information on current contacts with international partners and the progress of preparations for key negotiations in the United States.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his page.

According to the Head of State, the Ukrainian and American negotiating teams have achieved significant progress. In particular, they have advanced work on security guarantees for Ukraine, a recovery and economic development plan, as well as a basic document of 20 points that is to become the foundation for further agreements.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that Kyiv and Helsinki assess the pace of diplomatic work in the same way: “the intensity of negotiations is crucial, and not a single day or hour can be lost”.

Zelenskyy stressed that even during the Christmas and New Year holidays, Ukraine continues to work on protecting lives and diplomacy, focusing on a shared result for Ukraine, Europe, the United States, and global security.

The President separately thanked partners involved in the negotiation process, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as the Finnish side for constant support and coordination of positions.
