Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, released a video address congratulating Ukrainian soldiers on Christmas.
The greeting was published on the Commander-in-Chief’s social media accounts.
The Commander-in-Chief thanked defenders for their service and emphasized the unity of the Ukrainian military amid the prolonged war.
In his address, he stressed that the war, which has lasted for more than ten years, has not only brought losses but has also united Ukrainians into one large family bound together by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, regardless of origin, faith, or nationality.
According to Oleksandr Syrskyi, today’s mission of Ukrainian soldiers is to stand guard over the peace of their families and the entire country so that children and loved ones can celebrate Christmas safely, see the first Christmas star, and gather around the festive table.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that Ukrainian servicemen undertook what seemed impossible and succeeded, and also expressed confidence that all defenders will certainly return to their families after victory.
“I am proud of each of you and of our great warrior family”, — he said, congratulating servicemen on the Nativity of Christ.
