President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Marshal of the Polish Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, during which they discussed strengthening defense cooperation and security for both states, economic partnership and the participation of Polish companies in Ukraine’s reconstruction, increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, and joint efforts to return children abducted by Russia.

This was stated in his message on December 19.

They also discussed support for Ukrainian people who have found temporary shelter in Poland.

“Thank you for passing the law extending the period of stay for Ukrainians. We also addressed issues of historical memory between Ukraine and Poland. I believe that historical issues should unite and strengthen our peoples, and that leaders should remind us that Ukraine and Poland share more common victories than tragedies”, — the Head of State wrote.
