North and south of Pokrovsk, Russian forces attempted to break through using motorcycle groups. Aerial reconnaissance detected enemy movement in time, after which drone operator crews engaged the assault units.
This was reported on the page of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv, which released video footage of the combat operation.
According to the military, the breakthrough attempts were recorded on December 12. The occupiers operated in motorcycle groups, trying to quickly cross open terrain and enter Ukrainian positions from different directions.
However, the brigade’s aerial reconnaissance promptly detected the enemy movement. UAV crews then delivered a series of precise strikes, as a result of which the motorcycle groups lost their equipment and were forced to switch to chaotic infantry actions.
The brigade noted that further strikes left the enemy with no chance to complete the assault — the breakthrough attempt was completely thwarted.
The combat operation took place within the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy is attempting to develop the production of naval drones and copy successful Ukrainian practices — both technical solutions and tactics.
