Prosecutors of the Chernihiv region ensured the seizure and transfer of more than 100 tons of products from a company connected with residents of Russia and Belarus for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
The investigation is ongoing regarding abuse of power and financing of actions aimed against the constitutional order and territorial integrity of Ukraine (Part 2 Article 364, Part 1 Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the managers of a profiled sheeting (profnastyl) manufacturer attempted to hide the products and export them from Ukraine to avoid confiscation. The company was hastily and illegally “re-registered” to a front person not connected to its operations.
The attempt failed. At the Chernihiv Customs, law enforcement officers discovered more than 100 tons of profiled sheeting. The property was returned and transferred for the fortification of our military’s defensive positions. The products have already been delivered to Defense Forces units.
This is not the first episode in the case: earlier, ARMA received the company’s equipment, and part of the products was also redirected to the needs of the Ukrainian army.
