President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov will hold a series of meetings in Brussels with national security advisers of European leaders.
This was stated in a message from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, reported on the preparations for today’s meetings in Brussels with national security advisers of European leaders.
He will be joined in these negotiations by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov. The President emphasized that such contacts are part of ongoing coordination with partners and help maintain the momentum of the negotiation process.
Ukraine’s position after yesterday’s U.S. contacts in moscow
Ukrainian representatives will inform their European counterparts about what became known following yesterday’s contacts of the American side in Moscow.
The issue of the European component of the future security architecture will also be raised — in particular, mechanisms for protection against Russian strikes and preventing the collapse of agreements in the event of a ceasefire.
Preparations for a meeting with Donald Trump’s team
After Brussels, Rustem Umerov and Andriy Hnatov will prepare the next meeting with representatives of President Donald Trump in the United States.
President Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine will, as always, work constructively — for the sake of genuine peace and lasting security guarantees.
The Head of State noted that he expects a new report following today’s meetings in Europe and further consultations with the United States.
