EU Disburses €2.86 Billion to Bolster Ukraine’s Defence
The European Union has disbursed €2.86 billion to Ukraine under the defence component of the Ukraine Support Loan.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced the disbursement.
He said the funding would strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities amid Russian attacks on cities and critical infrastructure.
It will support drones, air defence systems, missiles, ammunition, radars and electronic warfare equipment.
“More drones, air defence systems, missiles and ammunition mean better protection for our people and stronger capabilities for our defenders on the front line.”
Ukraine continues to work with its European partners to ensure that the remaining allocated defence funding arrives without delay.
