Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko has held a meeting with US Senator from Montana Tim Sheehy.

Ukraine’s Air Force reported this.

At the meeting, Anatolii Kryvonozhko briefed the American senator on the situation in the Air Force and on the main challenges and threats.

They discussed the shortage of missiles for air defence systems, Patriots in particular, as well as Russia’s increasing use of jet-powered drones.

The commander also spoke about Ukrainian work on countering new aerial threats, innovative projects by the Defence Forces and new tactical approaches to using Western equipment.

The two sides separately discussed the combat use of F-16 fighters and the experience of the Ukrainian pilots flying them.

Anatolii Kryvonozhko thanked the American people and government for their support for Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression.

Tim Sheehy, for his part, expressed his support for Ukraine. As a former serviceman and combat veteran, he said he understands the scale of the challenges facing Ukrainian troops and the price the Ukrainian people are paying to defend their freedom.

The senator assured his hosts that the United States and its allies would continue to support Ukraine.
