Minister of Defence of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara has held a conversation with France's Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs, Catherine Vautrin.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported this.

The two discussed further strengthening Ukraine’s air defence capabilities, including the supply of munitions for Mirage aircraft.

Particular attention was paid to countering jet-powered Shaheds.

Ukraine and France are already working together to find effective solutions for destroying such drones.

This involves both additional supplies of assets that have already proven effective and the development of new technologies, including low-cost interceptor drones.

Yevhenii Khmara and Catherine Vautrin also discussed joint industrial projects and the FREYJA anti-ballistic initiative.

Ukraine’s Minister of Defence thanked France for the prompt delivery of additional assets to counter aerial targets and for its consistent defence support.
