More Than 500 in August Alone: Ukrainian Drones Are Hunting Russian Ground Robots
Over eight months, Ukraine's Defence Forces hit 2,851 Russian unmanned ground vehicles, and by mid-September the total had passed 3,000.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported this, citing data from the DELTA combat system.
Ukrainian drones hit the largest number of Russian unmanned ground vehicles in August — 511.
By comparison, 460 were hit in January, 293 in February, 215 in March and 223 in April. From May the figure began to rise again: 323 in May, 370 in June and 456 in July.
In total, from January to August Ukrainian troops hit 2,851 Russian unmanned ground vehicles.
The pace held in September. In the first half of the month alone, the Defence Forces used drones to hit almost 200 more, bringing the total since the start of the year to more than 3,000.
Russian forces use unmanned ground vehicles for logistics, reconnaissance, evacuation and support for assault operations.
