Commander of the 3rd Army Corps Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi has revealed details of the Vivaldi offensive in northern Donetsk region.

He outlined the details in a specially prepared video on Tuesday, September 15.

In particular, during the operation, Novoselivka, Oleksandrivka, Yarova and the outskirts of Korovyi Yar were cleared of russian infiltrators, while Serednie was liberated.

“In an information blackout, the units eliminated enemy infiltration points and cleared 75 square kilometers. Another 10 square kilometers were deoccupied. A devastating blow was inflicted on the combat capability of russia’s 20th and 25th armies. At this stage, enemy losses amount to about 1,500 soldiers, more than 12,000 drones and hundreds of armored vehicles, artillery systems and other vehicles,” the statement said.

At the same time, unmanned systems units cut the enemy’s logistical routes, forcing the occupiers to move fuel and lubricant supplies outside Ukraine, including to Voronezh region.

The operation involved the 60th Mechanized Brigade, 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, a battalion tactical group of the 3rd Assault Brigade, the 3rd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion and the 25th Separate Assault Battalion, as well as units attached to the corps: the 66th Mechanized Brigade, the 85th Task Group of the 8th Special Operations Forces Regiment, the Artan special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the 10th Mobile Border Guard Detachment Dozor.

“There is currently a lot of information in open sources claiming that the ultimate goal of our offensive operations is to reach the banks of the Chornyi Zherebets River. But our operation is called Vivaldi. And, as we know, Vivaldi has four seasons. This is only the first one. So follow our official reports and don’t rush with spoilers. There will be good news,” Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi said.

As ArmyInform reported, from January to August this year, Air Assault Forces troops and other units involved in the operation conducted an effective offensive operation in the Oleksandrivka sector.
