putin’s claim that russia is only 12 km from Sumy is false and contradicts his own previous statements.

The Kursk Task Force drew attention to this.

“Recently, he claimed that Russian troops were 12 kilometers from the ring road around the city of Sumy. But there is a catch: on June 29, according to putin himself, the occupiers were 10.5 kilometers from Sumy. The Russian army is the only army in the world that has been ‘capturing’ settlements for two months in a row, only to move 1.5 kilometers farther away from its own objective during that time. And it considers this an achievement,” the Ukrainian military ironically noted.

Moreover, as the Kursk Task Force points out, the “ring road” to which the head of the Kremlin regime measured his 12 kilometers does not even exist in Sumy.

“This is the level of accuracy of all Russian reports from the front. If enemy reports were to be believed, they should have run out of villages in Sumy region to ‘liberate’ by now. Yet every time, they somehow find another one to ‘liberate’ again,” the statement reads.

To confirm that the settlements named by the russian Ministry of Defense remain under the control of the Defense Forces, Ukrainian defenders recorded video footage from those locations.

As ArmyInform previously reported, Ukrainian military personnel earlier refuted a russian propaganda fake claiming that the village of Pysarivka had allegedly been captured in Sumy region.
