Ukrainian forces struck the NOVATEK production complex in Russia’s Leningrad Region on September 1.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the NOVATEK-Ust-Luga complex at the port of Ust-Luga in Russia’s Leningrad Region. The General Staff confirmed that the target was hit and that a fire subsequently broke out at the facility.

The extent of the damage inflicted on the enemy is currently being clarified.

The NOVATEK-Ust-Luga production complex specializes in the fractionation and transshipment of stable gas condensate. Its designed capacity exceeds 6 million tonnes per year.

The facility produces light and heavy naphtha, kerosene, diesel fraction, and a marine fuel component — fuel oil. The complex is part of NOVATEK’s production and logistics infrastructure at the port of Ust-Luga and is used to meet the needs of Russia’s armed forces.

The General Staff emphasized that operations against key enemy facilities are ongoing.
