Yevhenii Khmara and Mykhailo Drapatyi have held a meeting with Latvia's Minister of Defence Raivis Melnis.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence reported this.

At the meeting, the Ukrainian side set out the assets the Defence Forces need most urgently: unmanned ground vehicles, fibre-optic drones, middle-strike assets and air defence systems.

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Yevhenii Khmara stressed the importance of delivering these assets as quickly as possible.

The two sides separately discussed Latvia’s continued security assistance. The country plans to keep allocating at least 0.25% of its GDP to helping Ukraine each year. Ukraine is also counting on Latvia to take a leading role in attracting additional international assistance.

Other areas of cooperation include the rehabilitation of service members, training and the development of cyber capabilities.

Ukraine, for its part, is ready to share its own combat experience with Latvia, in particular on conducting multi-domain operations, defending territory and developing modern fortifications.
