Volodymyr Zelenskyy has acknowledged Estonia's contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defence and rebuilding the country.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this after a meeting with President of Estonia Alar Karis.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Alar Karis and the Estonian people for their support for Ukraine and for their principled stance on Russian aggression. This visit by the Estonian president is his last during his term in office, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.

The two also discussed security cooperation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine and Estonia are developing the Drone Deal format, which allows them to share experience in using unmanned systems and to strengthen the defence capabilities of both countries.

The President also thanked Estonia for its part in Ukraine’s reconstruction. With Estonian support, a number of facilities have been restored in Zhytomyr region.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is counting on Estonia’s continued active participation in all the international coalitions created since the start of the full-scale war.

“We value our friendship and the fact that we share the same vision of Europe’s future — a Europe that is united, free and at peace,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
