On Saturday, 22 August, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US General Keith Kellogg in Kyiv.

He announced this on his social media accounts.

According to the head of state, the former US Special Representative for Ukraine first visited Odesa and then travelled to Kyiv to take part in the Veterans Forum.

“Thank you for this mark of respect for Ukrainian soldiers, who defend Ukraine and the entire Euro-Atlantic space every day in extremely difficult conditions. We discussed the intensification of Russian strikes on infrastructure and civilians, and the main priority in defence is, of course, anti-ballistic capability. I briefed the general on our work with the Europeans on creating an anti-ballistic system, but for getting through this winter, deliveries of interceptors for the Patriots are irreplaceable. Ukraine is ready to buy them, and any efforts in this direction matter,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
