Yaroslava Mahuchikh, an athlete of the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has become European high jump champion for the third time in a row.

This was reported by the Department of Physical Culture and Sport of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.

The athlete claimed gold at the 2026 European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

In the final, Mahuchikh cleared 1.97 m at the first attempt.

Earlier at these championships, athletes representing Ukraine’s Armed Forces won two more medals.

Oleh Doroshchuk took silver in the high jump with a result of 2.30 m, while Liudmyla Olianovska claimed bronze in the half marathon race walk, setting a Ukrainian national record of 1:31:07.
